M Diary

I've been so focused on animation that I haven't had much time for design-based tools. However, my interest in design has recently grown, and I've come to realize that Photoshop can be a valuable tool. So, I made a commitment to learning it and spent two weeks creating this series on my daily meditation practice.

Regarding meditation, there are many methods, but my favorite is insight meditation, which involves being mindful of thoughts as they arise and pass away. To make this potentially challenging practice easier, one approach is to focus on the sensations in the philtrum area of the upper lip with close attention.

While it may seem amusing to focus on the philtrum area during meditation, it's actually an effective way to observe the breath, which acts like a gateway to the body. This area is where the movement of breath is most easily felt. By using it to observe the breath during meditation, you can focus your mind and find inner peace.

This meditation diary was created with the philtrum as its motif, with the U-shaped object in the first, third, and fourth works representing my visualization of the "gateway".
