The animation takes inspiration from “Dragonfly,” a track from Pogo’s latest album, building a loose narrative in which an adventurous purple dragonfly wanders off into a space of expanding spirals and candy-colored glass windows. The dragonfly swifts by other characters who all look somewhat dazed by the little dragonfly’s journey.
As much of Pogo's work consists of small sounds, quotes, and melodies recorded from films and resequenced to form a new piece of music, this 3D animation also follows a nonlinear format and celebrates the freedom of being absurd and fun.

This is the first 3D animation piece I made from scratch, in early 2022. It felt right to finally learn 3D animation. I wouldn’t say it was an easy task but I grew to appreciate the process of learning a new visual language!
